When we hit our virtual happy hour limit after months in self-quarantine, many people are looking for safe ways to enjoy the summer weather and connect with friends and family outdoors (if your state allows). What better way to do that than with your favorite cocktail?
And it’s no secret that people love tequila – 20.1 million 9-liter boxes were sold in 2019 alone – so why not choose this cocktail of your choice to celebrate National Tequila Day? Whether at home with just a few friends or virtually with the crew, these delicious cocktail recipes will impress every tequila enthusiast!
Manual: Mix the avocado, coriander and lime juice in a cocktail shaker until the avocado is thoroughly pureed. Add the tequila, cointreau, agave nectar, and ice and shake until well chilled. Strain over ice in a stone glass. Salt rim and garnish. ((by barman Geoffrey Liebert)
Manual: Mix and shake all ingredients. Strain over ice in a stone glass. Garnish with fresh lime and a ruby-red grapefruit wedge.
Manual: Place the ingredients (except ginger beer) in an ice-filled cocktail shaker and shake vigorously to mix the strawberries lightly into the mixture. Strain into a collins glass filled with fresh ice and top with ginger beer. Garnish with a slice of strawberry and mint.
Manual: Mix and shake all ingredients except ginger beer. Strain finely in a Collins glass filled with ice, top with ginger beer and garnish.
Manual: Stir with ice in a highball glass. Garnish with cucumber and mint.
Manual: Moisten the rim of a highball glass with your finger and some Hella Habanero Margarita Mix. Dip in a plate of basil salt. Place 3 of the basil leaves on the bottom of a shaker and mix carefully. Fill your shaker with ice and add the Tequila, Hella Habanero Margarita Mix and Hella Smoked Chili Bitters. Shake vigorously until the outside of the shaker is frosted. Sift your cocktail twice over your highball glass filled with fresh ice with a basil salt rim. Cover with grapefruit soda of your choice and stir carefully. Garnish with a basil leaf boat.
Manual: Sprinkles of agave nectar for flavor. Salt for the edge.
Manual: Combine lime wedges and agave syrup in a shaking dish and mix everything well (15 seconds). Add cucumbers and confuse a little more easily. Add bandero tequila and fill the can with ice. Shake on moderate strength for 10 seconds and pour the contents of the can into a stone glass to serve. Alternatively, shake vigorously and then add 2 ounces of soda water before straining fresh ice into a highball. Garnish with a cucumber wheel, add a pinch of smoked salt and serve.
